Any male singer of good character is welcome and encouraged to come to our Tuesday night rehearsals and sing with us for as long as you wish, without pressure. For those wishing to perform with the chorus we ask that you become a full-fledged member. Membership requires that you submit an application after 3 visits (preferably consecutive). A check for your dues will be included with the application, along with a sponsoring member's information. The Board of Directors meets monthly, and your application will be submitted to the Board by the Membership VP for consideration by the Board. Upon a favorable vote, the Secretary will mail your application to Society Headquarters in Nashville and you'll be on your way!
As a member, you will get access to the MEMBERS section of our website and all the resources that includes. Membership is through the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), a world-wide organization of over 80,000 members. Chapters are everywhere, so if you travel a lot, or move frequently for your job, you can always find a welcoming fellowship in a nearby Chapter. You also get access to all that BHS has to offer - which is huge!
To participate in our performances, you will need a tuxedo. We may have one you can borrow until you can purchase the required style. No worries, as the Chorus Manager, Membership VP, or Costume Chairman can lead you through this process.
